Terms of use
Template: Ben to review. This is a starting template, not legal advice.
Last updated: 1 November 2026. These terms apply to your use of tradefitoutdirect.co.uk ("the site"), which is operated by Ben Borseth trading as Trade Fit Out Direct, Forres, Moray, Scotland ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@tradefitoutdirect.co.uk.
Business use
The site and quote service are for businesses and other organisations. By submitting a request, you confirm that you're acting for a business and are authorised to request quotes for it.
Our service
We are an introduction service. We pass your request to up to three contractors who appear to cover the type of work and the location. The service is free for businesses requesting quotes. Contractors may pay us for introductions.
We don't carry out any work. We aren't an agent for you or the contractors, and we aren't a party to any contract between you and a contractor. Contractors are independent businesses.
No endorsement
Matching you with a contractor doesn't mean we recommend, endorse or guarantee them. We don't guarantee any contractor's work, prices, availability, qualifications, insurance or compliance with law. Before hiring, check insurance, references, accreditations and contract terms yourself.
Your information
You must give accurate information and must not submit requests on behalf of other people without their permission, or submit false, abusive or speculative requests.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the site. That includes attempting unauthorised access, scraping it, introducing malicious code, or using it to send spam.
Site content
The guides on the site are general information, not professional advice for your premises. We own the site's content or have permission to use it. Don't copy it for commercial use without our permission.
Availability
We may change, suspend or withdraw the site or service at any time. We don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Otherwise, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for: any work, advice, products, delays or defects of any contractor; any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts or data; or any indirect or consequential loss.
Because the service is free for businesses requesting quotes, our total liability to you arising from your use of the site and service is limited to £100.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on the site when you use it applies.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. The courts of Scotland and the courts of England and Wales both have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
